Steel Track Chains
These drawings are of a new system used in the forestry and oilfield, which
are made of steel chain and metal pads. This system is lightweight 125 lbs. and
is designed to be installed and taken of regularly and the process is as familiar
as putting tire chains on a truck.
These chains are much more durable and aggressive for increased traction and working in mud and rubble. They are also available for 10 and 12” wide tires.
The steel pads can be spaced apart for aggressive traction or close together for greater floatation. This design allows for quick installation and removal; the tracks can be rolled up by the operator and placed in storage until needed. They are easily maintained and repaired due to the simplicity and commonality of the parts.
