Moldboard Gates are designed to interrupt the windrow created by the grader while moving snow, gravel and asphalt. Temporarily interrupting the windrow allows for the operator to prevent unwanted build up in driveways and areas where he does not want to pile the material. This is done without stopping the operation and at the flip of a switch.
When attached to the moldboard as recommended by the manufacturer the operator and the owner will notice many of the immediate benefits including some of the following:
A: The patented Shear-Float Linkage (SFL) allows the operator to determine the amount of ground pressure to apply. Removing or adding a bolt allows the gate to either float or apply down pressure as required.
B: The severe Duty Shoe allows the gate to glide over the ground and is reversible for longer economic usage life.
C: All cutting edges are reversible and engineered to wear to match the road profile.
D: Smooth hydraulic action allows for precise positioning and handling during operation.
E: The Gate is designed to work within the perimeters of the end of the blade therefore avoiding interference with curbs and other obstacles near the end of the moldboard.
F: the SEM (Quick Drop System) allows the operator to disconnect the gate in just a few minutes.
